Happy Birthday, Aamir Khan!
He turns 48, but he is a living proof of the adage that age is just a number.
He is evergreen, and his spirit is ever-buoyant.
Incidentally, just a few days back, he has acquired
yet another tag..... Femina has featured him on
the cover of its special Women's Day issue,
calling him India's Biggest Feminist!
We are not surprised.

Kolkata is likely to feature prominently on this blog, just as it is likely to feature the personal preferences - as far as films, books or music or other finer aspects of life are concerned.

Here's wishing Mister Perfectionist a Very Happy Birthday!
Happy B'Day, Mr Cool..... kewl tag too! :) :)
he has always been known for thinking ahead of others, and not just that, Aamir thinks with his heart and soul.
One thing's for sure -
Aamir is leagues ahead of his contemporaries!
I lapped up the special issue of Femina where Aamir has talked about his daughter entering the film industry, his wife taking the lead at work and discusses what's wrong with men in India.
Many would smirk that the leading women's magazine has a man on its cover (earlier, they had profiled Aamir with his wife, Kiran Rao) but I think it is apt to have a man celebrating women on the occasion of International Women's Day. It's reflective of the members of the other gender actually comprehending their place in the ongoing feminist movement. Without men joining the bandwagon feminism will have reached a glass ceiling, women have certainly built a bridge but one can't hope to have a better world, one devoid of gender stereotypes and biases without the active participation of men.
International Women's Day isn't like a ladies day, to be only celebrated by women, it's true success will be when men too celebrate it and in that respect Femina has set a fabulous precedent.
I would like to wish Aamir a long, happy and prosperous innings, and not just in Bollywood but beyond.
Happy birthday, Aamir Khan!
Aap jeeo hazaaron saal......!
