'American Horror Story' is twisted, shocking, gross, and yet it connects emotionally, and it is indeed very scary........ it is horror redefined, for television viewers, especially for those who have a craving for the genre and who love being scared crazy.

It's horror meets sexy, gross meets gawky, and morbid meets grotesque. And yet it is engaging fare for the ones who won't feel pukish with all the blood and gore.
If it's redefined or not, I don't know, but it is surely a gutsy attempt by the makers, challenging the puritanical and prudish conventions that television series seldom tries to unsettle.
