Friendship to Love: Ek Main Aur Ek Tu

Ek Main Aur Ek Tu is the new film from Karan Johar's production house.

It's the perfect Valentine's Day movie.

Or, is it? Well, it offers the age-old poser: Friendship or Love?
Which is dearer? Aren't friendship and love overlapping emotions?

Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor play the lead pair in this rom-com.

The on-screen chemistry between Imran and Kareena is fantastic.

By a twist of fate, they start wrong, and need to get an annulment of their marriage!

Kareena plays the bubbly extrovert, and Imran is the shy guy.

The old-premise-packaged-smart product gets a major boost from the lead, I must say.

Plus, the screenplay is up-tempo and smooth. And the dialogues are witty.

The debutant director, Shakun Batra, has used the American setting to his advantage.

The goings on resemble American sitcoms. The ending too has a bit of freshness.

Amit Trivedi's music is a delight, and works perfectly in tandem with Amitabh Bhattacharya's lyrics. The supporting cast (Ratna Pathak Shah, Boman Irani, Ram Kapoor, Zenobia Shroff, Nikhil Kapoor, Mukul Chaddha, Manasi Scott) complements the lead pair's performance brilliantly. I am sure the urban, young-at-heart viewers would especially like the film.

I loved the film immensely. It's fresh, and energetic, and the lead pair is really, really cool. Kareena is at her peak, and Imran makes my heart skip a beat!

I somehow could not come to terms with Bebo's character, especially in the second half of the film. Though I found it better than Deepika's character in 'Break Ke Baad'. Anyways, Imran is a completely cutesy-pie in 'Ek Main Aur Ek Tu'! The film is likable mainly because of him, and also because the film is pacy enough.

Loved Imran and Bebo together.
Wish Bebo could pair up with Ranbir too, but they are cousins, so that's not possible...... hahahaaaa.

I think it's a perfect Valentine's Day film. I saw it yesterday. Loved it. And my GF loved it too;)
I found this to be a much better film than 'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan' where Imran wasn't quite at ease.

Well, E.M.A.E.T. might not be my idea of a perfect date movie, but it's nearly there.

I loved the film. But right after the film ended, I felt unsatisfied...... I did not want the story to end there...... I wanted it to go on. Maybe they can make a sequel. Hahahaaaaaaa

It's an interesting film. It's only natural that the new directors would be trying to implant a dash of freshness to the romantic films which are churned out too many too soon by the Bollywood dream factories. Stars like Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor must make full use of the opportunities at hand in playing the quirky characters. I would love to see more of the quirky quotient in future.

A cute-as-a-button Imran,
a bubbly, vivacious Bebo......
perfect pairing......
the film might be a li'l less than perfect, but so what! I thoroughly enjoyed it
with my new-found-love:)

It has been rightly said, "We need others. We need others to love and we need to be loved by them."
For someone whose whole world revolved around the mundane routine that gave a false sense of security, and whose world changed - took a complete spin - after discovering LOVE, this film came as an affirmation. I speak from the heart, I LOVED the film...... absolutely.
