According to Henry James Foy, There are two types of people in this world: those who blog and those who don't.He further states that by the end of 2007, there should be around 150 million bloggers all over the world - the same as the population of Bangladesh!
Isn't it a wonder that the phenomenon of blogging has grown by leaps and bounds in such a short period of time? Blogs are the 'in' things! I guess it speaks volumes about the urge that more and people feel to connect with other people, to get their private, personal and even intimate thoughts and ideas conveyed, across physical spaces and barriers that had erstwhile been prevailing for ages.
http://www.sakagaze.blogspot.com is the blog address for some of the cool and not so cool observations by Anindo Sen, a passionate Kolkatan. Kolkata is likely to feature prominently on this blog, just as it is likely to feature the personal preferences - as far as films, books or music or other finer aspects of life are concerned.

I fully agree with u.
Dude, it is really the age of self-expression, even one's trivial thoughts and feelings are increasingly being given accomodation in the cyberspace. People who earlier would just be content with secretly penning down their fancies or fears in the pages of their diaries are unlikely to have evolved into bloggers overnight! Rather it is a whole new breed of individuals who want their spaces - even the private and the intimate ones - shared with the whole wide world.
Cool post! Can't agree more..........
Hi Anindo!
Needless to say, I liked this post of yours. I think, we are getting connected more in the cyberspace thesedays, than in the real world!
Thanks for commenting folks!
I am glad to write the posts in spite of not exactly being to computer savvy as u I see that you are lapping it up. Encourage me. Motivate me. And help me bring out the very best through my blogs!
Thesedays Blogs aren't merely intimate accounts.............. they are much much more! And why not? When the bloggers can also earn through their blogs, they eventually are lured by lucre to influence millions by their outpourings. Often, we also get to know that the corporate world does whatever they can to design & maintain blogs to see their own goals & targets being fulfilled.
And wonder of wonders, even the so-called giantslike NASA and the UN reconcile observations with the accounts of the individual or the unorganised bloggers!
u know wat i feel about all this?i just feel that this amount of blogging and stuff actually reflects how lonely we all have grown these days inspite of the so called easy "connectivity"...think about it guys....
hi........
Yeah, you are completely true even some days ago I was also thinking to make my own blog……..but after I enjoyed your blog, I changed my decision……. don’t get upset, coz now I have decided to share my personal space through your notes….. isn’t it a wonder…..!!!
As much as blogs and bloggers get connecting with friends and strangers alike, people are increasingly getting addicted to blogging which is becoming worrisome as a phenomenon. In the extreme, people are suffering the withdrawal pangs BAD-ly, being without internet connection for even a small duration, as for them, it's NO BLOGGING, NO LIFE!!!!
Hope you never suffer from BAD - acronym for Blog Addiction Disorder - I know you won't.
